Booked a room with good air conditioning. The location was unbeatable and nice - walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go.

The room was comfortable with a big bed, the location was charming with nice bars nearby, safe even at night, and there was a restaurant in close proximity.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. Set in the heart of Trastevere you felt part of the city not just a tourist. Fabulous, vibrant square below with a resonably prices coffee and panni menu and some great cocktails. Lots of cheap retaurants serving excellent food nearby.
Rooms alittle on the small side but adeqaute for short stays and people who where out most of the day.

Locanda means room in Italian and that is what you get. A very small but nice room with a view to the lively square San Cosimato where fruit and veggies are sold. The location is in the heart of Trastevere and makes it easy to walk everywhere and busstops are a 5-10 mins walk away.
The staff were a bit too stressed to be welcoming and they were not really too friendly. Breakfast can only be consumed inside, not outrside at their bar area for some odd reason. Breakfast is btw very simple; dry bread and some ham and marmelade. The cappucini's are great though.

Good centre for sightseeing. Staff at all times very helpful. Restaurant and bar attached was really great facility after a day's sightseeing. Daily room service was provided- the room was spotlessly clean.
Would have been useful to have international TV- but not an issue.

It's well located, lots of restaurants near-by, friendly neighborhood, piazza in front allows you to see Roman life up close.
Multiple key system is awkward and inconvenient. Staff is very friendly but has limited English.

Convenient walking distance to Trastevere restaurants, public buses, and local sights.
Without a hotel reception desk/lobby, you're virtually staying in an apartment. You pick up your hotel key from the bar next door. No staff to help make phone calls, no English-speaking TV, and no usual hotel front desk service. Hotel rooms are above the very lively bar.

We liked the Room #7. It looked out on the vegetable market.
The day before we flew to Rome we got an incoherent email from the non-English-speaking receptionist about the number of beds in the room. Even a phone call did not clear up the problem. When we got there we found that the final two days of our stay would have to be in a tiny room with a double bed even though we booked months ago with you for twin beds. They should not have accepted a reservation they could not honor. Then to make matters worse, there was no telephone in the room, her computer was unavailable, I had no computer so, I had to find an Internet site to cancel the final two days with you. They are very primitive hotel keepers.

The location was excellent, in the heart of Trastevere, one of the most beautiful parts of Rome. The room was also very clean. A nice choice.
Too expencive for what it offers, but accomodation in Rome is expensive in general. It is more pansion than a hotel.

This is a great location, room was clean and worth the cost. Your readers need to know that when they arrive, they need to go to the bar below to check in, and out. The additional tax is accepted in cash only.
The primary lady that ones deals with has a harsh, no nonsense personality, and therefore can come across as unfriendly. Do not look for them to offer suggestions or answer questions....you are on your own.

The Location was described as being perfect and we were not dissapointed. It was perfectly situated for seeing all the sites on foot and was located in a nice quite square. The room was small but comfortable with working a.c and everything was clean and in working order. When available the staff were helpfull.
When we needed to speak to someone from the hotel they were not available until 11.00 am. There is not really any staff you book in and are on your own. This is fine as long as you don't need anything.

The rooms are really small and the breakfast is not very rich, but asides from that the hotel is pretty good, the location is excellent, the staff - friendly, rooms are clean, so it's very good value for the money.
